1  Comment writing – social media 𝕊  ℍ

Step 1:
Write a complete comment on the following task. Find at least four arguments supporting your opinion.

Social media is everywhere - what would the world look like without.
Comment on whether a world without social media would be better. 

Step 2:
Complete the following tasks so that you know what to include in a comment. Use the text in S(olution).

1. Go through the introduction. Highlight the hook, the way the opinion on the topic is given and the transition to the main body. 
2. In the main body find in one paragraph the topic sentence, the explanation, the evidence/example and the concluding sentence.
3. In the conclusion, highlight the summary as well as the outlook.
4. Write down all the connectors that were used.
5. Write down useful collocations that were used.

Step 3:
Work with the two texts.

1. Do the same tasks with your own text.
2. Compare your text with the sample solution. What is different? Is there anything you could improve?
3. Now rewrite your text and include the improvements.
