How to write an introduction

The introduction should grab the reader's attention and provide context for the topic.
Your introduction usually has 3 parts:

  1. Hook → attract attention with a fact, observation or question.
  2. Background information → name the topic and why it is important?
  3. Transition to the main part with reference to the task.
